An initial strategic nutrition consultation will take up to an hour and a quarter. You will have been sent a questionnaire when you booked the appointment, filled it in and ideally have returned it to strategic nutrition before your appointment. During the consultation, we will clarify your medical history, including your present lifestyle, in order to then discuss the possible contributory factors. Finally we will agree a strategic plan to improve your health symptoms. |

Honesty and confidentiality are obviously vital in this process - your plan will be much more effective and ‘do-able’ if it contains foods which you actually like - and have the means and time to buy and eat! There is no point for you in paying for a consultation and then coming away with ideas which don’t suit you or your lifestyle - and no job satisfaction at this end! Your progress will be monitored during follow-up consultations and your strategy updated as necessary. The number of follow-up consultations required varies, depending on individual need. Although the initial consultation should always be face-to-face, for the sake of convenience, time and cost of travel, strategic nutrition is happy to conduct follow-up consultations by phone when necessary. Strategic nutrition is also happy to offer telephone and e-mail support between appointments, though if either of these takes more than about 10 minutes, they effectively become a follow-up consultation and it may be necessary to charge at the normal rate. Initial consultation - up to 1¼ hours £60 Follow-up consultation - 30 - 40 minutes £30
Strategic nutrition also offers talks and seminars to small groups, such as parents’ groups, the WI, sports clubs and anyone else interested in using the power of nutrition to improve their health and wellbeing. Call to discuss what areas you would like to address. A similar service is available for enlightened employers who know that improving the health and wellbeing of their staff has benefits for all involved. Contact strategic nutrition for information. |
